Historical and Genealogical Researcher and Writer
I can be your personal historian.

Over the years I have researched many different historical and genealogical events and individuals. Many of these have been published in several national magazines.
My articles appear in:
Ancestry, History, Family Chronicle, Internet Genealogy, Florida Monthly, South Florida History, Jupiter Magazine, Reminisce, Genealogical Helper, Fort Pierce Magazine and Discovering Family History.

In 2008, I became a member of ISFHWE - International Society of Family History Writers and Editors.
In their 2008 - Excellence in Writing Competition, I had three major published articles in the competition.
In April 2010, my article "Evoking Family Stories" was selected 3rd best in the nation for genealogical magazine articles. It had been published in DISCOVERING FAMILY HISTORY in Sept. 2009.

Recently new short articles have been submitted and accepted with 'Associated Content' online.
Read them at:

Also three books have been published using Lulu Publishing of N. C.
"Legends - Family Stories and Myths" - the uncovering of 30 family tall tales and what were the real and actual events.
"The Invincible Alice" - a Florida raised beauty and the countless tragedies she survived between the 1930s to the 21st century.
"O. B. Padgett - A Florida Son" - a native of Florida who grew up in northern Florida. He later becomes the youngest Chief of Police in Florida by the mid-1920s for Stuart, Florida. This was a time of bootleggers and outlaws and he had to handle them all. The Invincible Alice

ABOVE ENVELOPE --- In GENEALOGICAL HELPER MAGAZINE, July 2008, an example of a touching story about a young Civil War soldier and the letters he wrote from the battleground to his father in York County, PA. Pvt. Wesley Wagoner never returned home. During the battle of Ft. Wagner he was captured by the Rebels and sent to Belle Isle Prison near Richmond, VA. One of the worst prisons, Wesley died of disease in Nov. 1863. His only legacy being the letters sent home

I do genealogical research for individuals and can take your family history and turn it into a nice written story. I can be your personal historian.
